FAQs

How long and how often are therapy sessions and what age range do you serve?

Sessions are 50 minutes in length. Sessions are scheduled weekly, though frequency may be adjusted as you progress through our work together. I work with adults 18+.

What can I expect in my first session?

The goal of our first session is to get to know each other better, and begin building trust. I want to hear about your goals for therapy, questions, and preferences. If you don’t know where to start, that is okay! Based on the information I gather from you, we can create a plan together over the first couple of sessions.

We will also review your mental health history and pertinent background information, so I can get a snapshot of the factors surrounding your life.

Do you see clients in person or via Telehealth?

Due to COVID-19, I am currently only seeing clients via my secure video Telehealth platform. I can also work with clients over the phone when clinically appropriate.

*You must reside in DC, MD or VA in order for me to work with you at this time due to Telehealth regulations and restrictions.

How do I know if you will be a good fit for me?

I offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation. I believe it is extremely important to feel comfortable with the therapist you choose and I also want to be sure I can provide the best services to you based on my skills and expertise. I recognize that searching for a therapist can be a daunting process and if you decide I am not a good fit for you, or if you are looking for something specific that I might not be able to provide, I am happy to refer you to someone I trust who might better suit your needs.

*Please note that this consultation is not a therapy session and simply offers an informational space to determine fit.
