I’m Amanda, and I’m glad you stopped by. I am an independently licensed therapist, with an LPC in DC, and an LCPC in MD. I have been in the mental health field for over thirteen years, with the majority of the last decade being spent providing counseling to students, faculty, and staff at Johns Hopkins University. My time at JHU has nurtured my love of helping individuals navigate personal challenges, as well as those related to work and academia. I have particularly enjoyed and have extensive experience working with the international community.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic theories and techniques depending on the needs of the client, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, strengths based therapy, person centered therapy, and mindfulness.
